About Goulburn Inc

Soroptimist International Goulburn

Chartered on 3 March 1956, Soroptimist International Goulburn has proudly served the Goulburn region for over 70 years.

We are a welcoming group of women who are passionate about creating positive change for women and girls through service, advocacy and education. As part of Soroptimist International South East Asia Pacific, we are connected to a global network of women working together to improve the lives of women and girls in more than 100 countries.

Locally, our members identify community needs and develop practical projects that make a real difference. We also advocate for gender equality, raise awareness of issues affecting women and girls, and support international initiatives aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Making a difference in our community
Our club proudly supports a range of local projects and organisations, including:

  • Baby Bundles for Child and Family Health Services
  • Emergency clothing supplies for Goulburn Base Hospital and Anglicare
  • Collection and distribution of sanitary care products through local support services
  • Share the Dignity – It's in the Bag campaign
  • Orange the World and 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence
  • Goulburn Domestic Violence Awareness Walk
  • International Women's Day events
  • Environmental sustainability initiatives, including the Chip Packet Project
  • Community hampers and support for women and families experiencing hardship
  • Handmade knee rugs and greeting cards for aged care residents
  • Alongside these local projects, our members participate in regional, national and international Soroptimist conferences, collaborate with clubs throughout Australia and overseas, and contribute to global advocacy for women and girls.

2026 07 Listen to Womens Pain Logo SI NSW

Listen to Women's Pain – Endometriosis Matters
Soroptimist International Goulburn proudly supports the NSW Region's Listen to Women's Pain – Endometriosis Matters campaign.

Too many girls and women have been told that severe menstrual pain is "just part of being a girl". This campaign is helping change that by raising awareness of endometriosis, promoting earlier diagnosis and advocating for evidence-based education in NSW public high schools.

You can support this important advocacy by signing the NSW Parliamentary ePetition calling for the PPEP Talk education program to be available in every NSW public high school.

Sign the petition:

Every signature helps create a future where women's pain is understood—not dismissed.

2026 07 ChipPacket FusingDay

Chip Packet Project – Community Fusing Day
Saturday 25 July

Join us as we transform clean, empty chip packets into durable thermal blankets for people experiencing homelessness and those in need.

Whether you're an experienced volunteer or simply curious about the project, everyone is welcome. It's a fun, hands-on way to help reduce waste while making a real difference in our community.
