The SISEAP Programme Team is pleased to introduce the updated Programme Manual (V2), a comprehensive "living resource" designed to empower our members and clubs in their mission to Educate, Empower, and Enable women and girls. This essential guide serves as a strategic roadmap, aligning our grassroots projects and advocacy efforts with both the Federation’s 8 Objectives—ranging from Education and Healthcare to Economic Empowerment and Disaster Relief—and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By providing clear frameworks for project management, reporting, and international advocacy, the manual ensures that every club's action is impactful, measurable, and contributes to our collective "Global Voice". Whether you are looking to develop a new project, apply for prestigious Best Practice Awards, or understand our consultative status at the United Nations, this manual offers the toolkits and insights needed to transform local action into global influence.

Celebrating Our Impact:
The 2026 SISEAP Programme Annual Reports stand as a powerful testament to the collective dedication of our 129+ diverse, multi-faith, and intergenerational communities. As we reflect on 2025, we celebrate the rigorous work that has directly impacted the lives of 88,287 women and girls across our 13 countries. Our mission—to educate, empower, and enable, has been brought to life through 237 projects and 78 advocacy initiatives, contributing an estimated AUD $8.6 million in volunteer value to society.
The Vital Role of Committee Commitment and Reporting
The success documented in these reports is not accidental; it is the result of tireless commitment from our Programme Team and committee members. Their role is multifaceted and essential to our federation's integrity:
Strategic Alignment: Committee members ensure that grassroots actions align with the Federation’s objectives and all 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ensuring our local work resonates on a global stage.
Mentorship and Support: Team members have spent the year consulting with clubs, providing database training, and mentoring "Brilliant Future Fund" applicants to ensure project success and accurate reporting.
Maintaining International Status: Consistent and detailed reporting is not just administrative; it is vital to maintaining our consultative status with the United Nations (ECOSOC). This status allows us to shape global resolutions and advocate for national legislation that protects the rights of women and girls.
Involving Members in Advocacy and Programme Work
A core focus this year has been bridging the gap between local action and international advocacy. Committee members have worked hard to involve every Soroptimist in this mission through:
Educational Outreach: By organizing webinars on pressing issues like Coercive Control and Human Rights, the committee has provided members with the expertise needed to advocate effectively in their own regions.
Collaborative Training: Initiatives such as the "Top Tip" in eSPAN and dedicated Zoom training sessions for clubs (such as those in New Zealand and Mongolia) have empowered members to navigate reporting systems and understand the nuances of advocacy.
Member Engagement: Through surveys like the "UN Summit for the Future," the team has helped members see the direct linkage between their club’s functions and the UN goals we deliver together.
While we celebrate the service hours contributed by our members, we also recognize the challenge of under-reporting. We encourage all members to use these reports not just as a record of the past, but as a roadmap for the future. Every report submitted is a story told and a voice amplified for the women and girls we serve
International Day of the Girl Child is an annual and internationally recognized observance on October 11 it acknowledges the importance, power, and potential of girls by providing more opportunities to empower them and amplifies their voices.
It incorporates the Rights of the Child, 2011 recognition of Girls and 75th anniversary of Human Rights Declaration.
At the same time, this day is designated to eliminate gender-based challenges that little girls face around the world, including child marriages, poor learning opportunities, violence, and discrimination.
Key Focus Areas
Education and Health: Ensuring girls have safe and equal access to schooling and healthcare.
Ending Child Marriage: Fighting against child marriage, which affects millions of girls globally. Protection from Violence: Raising awareness against gender-based violence and discrimination.

At this time we recognise the strength, potential and diversity of girls worldwide, while acknowledging the barriers many continue to face, including poverty, limited access to education and healthcare, child marriage, violence, exploitation, discrimination, digital inequality and the effects of conflict and climate change.
Our commitment is to listen to girls, support their rights and ensure they have the safety, education, confidence and opportunities to shape their own and their futures.
Every girl deserves the chance to be heard, valued and empowered.
